One of the great things about living in North Atlanta is the proximity to to the mountains. The foothills of the mountains are easily within driving distance (45 minutes or so) whether you're heading north towards Tennessee or Blue Ridge, GA or west towards Rome, GA and Gadsden, AL. The mountains make for beautiful scenic driving and spirited challenges (legal, of course).... especially if you have the right car for the enjoyment.
We were recently treated to a day drive with the Porsche Club of Atlanta to the Pirelli Tire plant in Rome, GA. The drive took us through beautiful, winding roads highlighted by a wonderful, authentic Italian lunch just outside Rome.
Here's a few images and information about the Porsche Club of Atlanta (Porsche Club of America - Peachstate Region) and the Pirelli plant. A special shout-out to the Pirelli management and operations teams for a wonderful, informative tour and Porsche Atlanta Perimeter for playing hosts to our event!
