Taste of Alpharetta

The annual Taste of Alpharetta has become one of the premier food festivals in the Southeast, drawing thousands of visitors to downtown Alpharetta each spring.

First launched in 1991, the event began as a small community gathering designed to showcase local restaurants and celebrate Alpharetta’s growing culinary scene. Over the years, it has evolved into a massive regional attraction that now welcomes between 40,000 and 50,000 attendees annually, with some years drawing even larger crowds.

Held in the heart of downtown Alpharetta, the festival transforms the city streets into a lively open-air celebration of food, music, and family entertainment. More than 60 restaurants typically participate, offering small tasting portions that allow visitors to sample a wide variety of dishes in a single evening.

Guests can enjoy everything from Southern barbecue and gourmet burgers to Korean BBQ, tacos, seafood, pasta, desserts, and artisan sweets. Beverage gardens and tasting tents also feature craft beer, wine, cocktails, lemonade, and specialty drinks.

This year, Harry Norman REALTORs | Forbes Global Properties was one of the largest vendors with over 30 of the year and nationally recognized REALTORs on hand providing local North Atlanta real estate advice, homes for sale in Alpharetta, guides, magazines, and a photo booth.

One of the festival’s biggest attractions is its family-friendly atmosphere. Dedicated kids’ zones feature inflatables, obstacle courses, games, rides, and interactive activities designed for children of all ages.

Live music is performed throughout the evening on multiple stages, creating a fun and energetic environment for families, couples, and groups of friends. Culinary demonstrations, contests, and “People’s Choice” voting also add to the excitement as attendees vote for their favorite restaurants and dishes.
